Graveyard Tour : Settle & Carlisle Railway Heroes @ Settle Parish Church

Local historian Sarah Lister presents: Settle and Carlisle Railway Heroes – the real people behind the headlines of our iconic railway.

This fun, interactive tour will take you on a voyage of discovery through the lives of people who lived and died in Settle and are buried here.

Graveyard tours will follow government advice on Covid. Please bring a mask unless exempt and respect social distancing. Entry is by ticket only.

Photos may be taken for publicity purposes. Please let organisers know if you do not want to be in photos.

Access requirements

The tours last about an hour. They are mainly outside and visitors will be standing throughout. Wear suitable clothing for the weather including shoes with closed toes for walking around the graveyard. Remember hats, sun cream and a drink if it’s hot. The tour may be shortened and / or run inside if the weather is bad. Refreshments are provided by the church, donations welcome.
